However, DO limp with small pocket pairs. I would much instead loose small pots by not raising pre-flop and then develop the pot if you hit the "nuts". If you don't hit your hand, then just check/fold with a minimum reduction. If you do occur to capture big pocket pairs (aces, kings or queens), then you do want to be firing off bets to make certain you get value out of those hands in hopes another poker player will contact you. When you are elevating and re-raising pre-flop, you will have a much better opportunity of getting rid of all the lesser fingers that might have a opportunity to crack your large hand.
